Finally, the time has come: we are proud to launch our new Study Match Report! For (aspiring) students who need direction in the overwhelming landscape of study choices, this report is the perfect solution. Unlike traditional study guides, our assessment measures a person's true potential entirely objectively. Instead of providing subjective answers to questions, students play games that reveal their underlying cognitive dispositions. As a result, the results cannot be influenced by what a person already thought they could do or where they (unconsciously) wanted to end up. Curious about how the new report can make a difference in career guidance? We are happy to tell you more about its content!
Based on their personal Brain Profile, students receive an overview of three career clusters that are the best cognitive fit for them. Within each cluster, they also receive a list of specific professions and the corresponding studies that match their cognitive strengths and tendencies. We provide this information across three different educational levels: MBO, HBO, and WO (vocational, higher professional, and university education in the Netherlands). In this way, we hope to provide a broader picture of all the possibilities, irrespective of the student's current academic standing. People often unnecessarily restrict themselves to the level they were assigned as a child. Much more is possible if you look beyond that!
Because students don't deliberately answer questions in a conscious manner, the recommendations can sometimes be surprising. To make sense of unexpected results, we always explain why the direction is a good fit for the person, and the student is asked what they think of the recommendations. This can encourage them to look up more information about a study, even if it initially doesn't seem like the right fit. Who knows, it might be the study of their dreams.
In addition to study choice assistance, the report also offers a number of tips on how to study most effectively. A small part of these tips are based on how the brain works in general, so they apply to everyone. The rest is based on the personal Brain Profile and therefore perfectly aligns with how the individual works most comfortably—even if they might not know it yet. These insights are not only useful when choosing a study but also remain handy once the choice has been made.
From surprising recommendations to personalized study techniques—the Study Match Report is a valuable guide that helps students make their study choice and teaches them how to study most effectively. Want to help students take control of their potential and make the right choice with confidence? Our Study Match Report is now available.
