BrainsFirst Team Session: From friction to flow in your team

Do you have all the right talent gathered in your team, but they can't seem to find the path to effective collaboration? Many teams experience internal friction and latent conflicts. The cause often does not lie in unwillingness, but in a fundamental lack of objective insight into each other's thinking and working styles. To make teams more productive, creative, and harmonious, BrainsFirst offers the scientific solution: the brain-based team session.

What does a team session look like?

In preparation for the live session, every team member completes the NeurOlympics. Our game-based cognitive assessment generates a personal Brain Profile that objectively captures how someone thinks, processes information, and performs best. This is not about subjective personality types; it measures pure executive functions—the fundamental building blocks of an individual's true potential.

During the session, we analyze every team member's Brain Profile and how they work together, shedding light on the strengths and potential frictions that team members could run into. The team gains an impression of:

  • Cognitive similarities: Which colleagues think and work (cognitively) the most alike?
  • Complementary strengths: Where are the collective 'sweet spots' and where do the differences strategically complement each other?

Visualizing the Brain Profiles together is a powerful conversation starter. It clearly highlights the invisible differences in working style, and shows who keeps the team balanced and who is the driving force behind innovation.

What do cognitive insights provide?

The team sessions are not only educational and enjoyable; the insights lead to directly measurable benefits in practice:

  • Optimization of collaboration: By knowing each other's cognitive strengths and potential pitfalls, the team bundles forces instead of struggling with each other. Collaboration thus becomes faster, smarter, and more enjoyable.
  • Higher productivity: By better understanding how team members complement each other, tasks can be optimally divided based on cognitive fit. Every team member is deployed in the area where their brain performs best, which significantly improves productivity.
  • Improved well-being: Misunderstanding and cognitive mismatch are major stress factors. By making this visible and adjusting tasks, internal friction is reduced, which lowers absenteeism due to stress and mismatch by up to 50%.
  • Increased innovation power: Mapping the team's 'blind spots' enables you to consciously complement them. This ensures diverse brains work together and new opportunities and creative solutions are identified faster.
  • More effective conflict management: Understanding how your colleagues perform best avoids mutual frustration. This leads to fewer conflicts, and any existing disputes can be resolved more easily and objectively.

The science of future-proof teams

Our BrainsFirst team session marks the start of a fundamental shift in how your organization views teamwork. By knowing the cognitive blueprint of your team, you directly invest in future-proof teams. You create not only a culture of objective understanding and well-being but also build a workforce that is adaptive, resilient, and ready for the unexpected challenges of tomorrow. This is the most strategic and sustainable way to maximize your collective potential.
